Magnetic Drum Seperator


ELECTRO FLUX Magnetic drum separators offer the highest level of magnetic strength and are appropriate for many different applications, including scrap processing, auto shredding, mining, aggregate, or anywhere large volumes of metal need to be removed.

The concept of drum separation is very simple - material is fed to a rotating shell revolving around a stationary magnet. Ferrous metal remains on the shell surface until it passes from the magnetic field - separating it from the normal trajectory of the nonferrous material.

The design of the Drum Separator features a continuously self-cleaning magnet, which can be provided as the drum only or as a complete assembly with the housing & drive included. Material to be processed enters the top of the drumseparator and flows across the surface of the drum. As the drum shell rotates around the stationary magnetic field, all Non ferrous product which is unaffected by the magnet falls free from the drum into the cleaned material flow. Any ferrous tramp metal is captured by the magnetic field and held on the drum’s surface. As the drum rotates, the metal is carried past the diverter and released outside of the magnetic field.

ELECTRO FLUX Magnetic Roll Separator Is used to remove fine iron contamination from the products such as Silica sand, quartz, magnesite, feldspar, dolomite, food products, chemicals, ceramics, etc.

Magnetic Separator consist of Hopper, Electro magnetic Feeder with Dimmer control, Roll Construction, Drive Motor, Adjustable Splitter Plates, Control Panel.

Rare earth roll separator has a powerful rare earth magnetic roll, which also functions as a head pulley. As the product on the belt passes over the rare-earth magnetic roll, Ferrous particles stick to the belt while the non-ferrous particles fall freely off the belt into the non-magnetic chute due to centrifugal force. Adjustable splitters are provided to ensure an optimum magnetic /non-magnetic split. Roll speed is variable and can be adjusted from 40 RPM to 400 RPM thereby enabling the aid of centrifugal force in separation of the magnetic and non-magnetic.

Feed Hopper:
Non-magnetic stainless steel construction, finely controlled adjustable feed gate with positive shut off designed for uniform feed with minimum bounce.

Roll Construction:

The magnetic rolls incorporated in our machines have been specially designed and developed to generate exceptionally high magnetic field and gradient. The rolls which are built using rare earth Nd-Fe-B are manufactured to very low dimensional tolerances.

Drive Motor:
Can be constant or variable speed according to the capacity and the range of separation.

Adjustable Splitter Plates:

In stainless steel normally consist of a single splitter, however in certain cases splitter plates can be fitted with provision for middlings product for different modes of treatment.

Chutes:

All chutes are stainless steel and are designed to withstand abrasion and to eliminate blockages.

Roll Construction:
